Local Alcohol Policy community groups survey

LAP community groups survey

Our Local Alcohol Policy (LAP) was adopted in 2017 and is now up for review.

The LAP regulates the sale of alcohol in our district, including the maximum hours when alcohol can be sold, where alcohol suppliers may set up shop and what conditions must be followed if selling or supplying alcohol.

As it so happens, our review coincides with some major changes to the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act legislation. The changes are a positive for our community – they allow for greater community voice in the LAP creation process.

As part of our first phase of work, we're doing some information gathering on how alcohol affects our community. We are currently conducting a survey with the community about their relationship with alcohol. We would also like to gather feedback from community groups throughout Porirua.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could take some time to complete this short survey.
