Privacy
To support our drive to be as transparent as possible all submissions will, as a default, be publicly available with your name or organisation but without your contact details. Unless otherwise requested, your video will be played at the hearing on Thursday 20 March 2025, livestreamed, and permanently published on our YouTube channel.
If you don’t want to be seen on livestream, you have the following options:
If you don’t want your face shown publicly you can elect to have only the audio of your video played. The audio of your submission will be made public on YouTube.
If you don’t want your face or audio played publicly, we will publish a transcript of your submission.
If you are under 18 we will publish the transcript of your submission only.
In all cases your uncensored video and audio will be provided to Council in a private YouTube playlist. This playlist will not be made publicly available.
We use YouTube to transcribe submissions. All submissions will be stored in an internal system only accessible to specified Council staff and held in accordance with the Public Records Act 2005.
Please note you won’t be able to withhold your name or video if you choose to speak to your submission at the hearings or if you are representing an organisation.
We accept video submissions in any language.
Technical requirements:
We can only accept files that are 200MB or smaller, or three minutes in length (whatever is smaller). For reference, a 1 minute video in 1280x720 resolution is around 105MB.
Please note videos that contain objectionable material as defined in the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993 will not be accepted.
