Reserve Classification

Thank you for your submissions on the Reserve Classifications - Bayview Road and Haunui road.

At the meeting of Te Puna Kōrero on 19 March, it was agreed to classify the land at the end of Haunui Road as Local Purpose (Road and Access) Reserve, and to reclassify 43B Bayview Road as Local Purpose (Road and Access) Reserve.

As part of ongoing administration work we have been reviewing land parcels classified as reserve across the city and making sure these are up to date and accurate.

We have identified two drainage reserves that are used to access a number of properties.

The two sites are:

• 43B Bayview Road, Paremata. We are considering changing the classification of this parcel from drainage reserve to local purpose (road and access) reserve in accordance with section 24A of the Reserves Act, and
• The land at the end of Haunui Road, beside 26 Haunui Road, Pukerua Bay. We are considering classifying this land as local purpose (road and access) reserve in accordance with section 16(1) of the Reserves Act.

This change is considered necessary to reflect the primary use of the sites.

Making a submission or objection

You can find copies of the proposals for each of the two sites at all Porirua City libraries, and at our front counter at Customer Services, Porirua City Council, 16 Cobham Court, Porirua 5022.
