Tireti Hall feedback
Requests for feedback are now closed (30 October 2024).
Seeking feedback on the current use of Tireti Hall
Tireti Hall is located on the corner of Tireti Road and Te Pene Avenue and is the only council-owned facility in Titahi Bay that is fit for community meetings and social use.
The Hall has 2 separate spaces (Room 1 and Room 2).
For many years Room 1 had been used exclusively by Bay Kids Club for a childcare business, and Room 2 by the Titahi Bay Radio Club.
Some groups in the community approached the Council to ask for Room 1 to be turned into a bookable space, so others could use it when not in use by the Bay Kids Club.
In April 2023, following community consultation, Council agreed to open Room 1 when Bay Kids Club weren’t operating. In February this year it was added to the council-managed booking system after an extensive refurbishment, including a fully renovated kitchen, accessible and unisex bathrooms, and heat pumps. Room 1 now provides an inclusive and modernised area for meetings, social activities, and general bookings.
Room 2 continues to be leased exclusively to the Titahi Bay Amateur Radio Club.
We consider the arrangement for both rooms has been working well and we’re now checking back with the community before finalising arrangements from January 2025.
