Who can speak at the hearing?
People who made a submission are able to speak at the hearing. Speaking at a hearing gives you an opportunity to highlight the points you’ve made in your submission.
Can anyone watch the hearing?
The hearing will be live-streamed on Porirua City’s YouTube channel for people to watch https://www.youtube.com/@poriruacity.
Who will be making the decision?
An independent panel makes the decision about the application (not Council officers or elected members).
What happens after the hearing?
After the hearing, the independent panel will make a decision and set conditions for the application to follow, based on the information provided by:
• The applicant
• All submitters; and
• Council officers.
